As a Senior Project Manager, Commercial & Contracts Management, you will serve as a strategic commercial leader responsible for the procurement, negotiation, administration, and performance management of commercial relationships on large, complex construction projects. Partnering closely with project leadership, the functional leads for legal, estimating, procurement, finance, and field teams, you will develop subcontracting strategies, create trade scopes and bid packages, evaluate proposals, negotiate contract terms, and ensure subcontract agreements align with project objectives, schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies. This role is critical in protecting Boldt’s interests while building strong, collaborative relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

You will lead commercial risk identification and mitigation efforts, support project teams in understanding contractual obligations, and drive resolution of contract-related issues including notice, scope changes, claims, delays, and performance concerns. Working alongside project teams, you will monitor contractual commitments, change orders, forecasts, and commercial exposure while supporting project reporting on contract status, cost performance, profitability, and cash flow. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement strategy, project controls, and commercial leadership, along with the ability to foster a culture of accountability, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement that contributes to successful project delivery.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $124,000 - $166,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 10 or more years of experience in construction project management
  • 8+ years of experience in construction subcontract management, contract administration, procurement, commercial management, or project controls within industrial, power, manufacturing, infrastructure, or large commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of contract forms, commercial negotiations, risk allocation, claims management, and change order administration.
  • Demonstrated experience developing trade scopes, bid packages, procurement strategies and plans for complex projects.
  • Experience supporting large EPC, projects preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence project teams, subcontractors, and business partners while balancing commercial objectives and relationship management.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing contract risk, project financials, and performance reporting.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Forma, Microsoft Office, contract management systems, and construction project controls tools.
  • Professional certifications such as CPCM, CPSM, PMP, CCM, or related credentials are preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting field operations large-scale industrial, infrastructure, energy, or heavy construction projects.
