Senior Project Manager ERP (D365)

IT Project Manager – ERP & CRM Transformation (D365 F&O)

A major Australian organisation is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile business transformation program. This is a 24-month fixed-term opportunity to help shape and deliver a greenfield-style ERP and CRM transformation, supported by wider data, integration and legacy-system modernisation initiatives.

This role will suit a confident, commercially minded Project Manager who has led complex enterprise-system implementation programs and enjoys working closely with business leaders, technical teams and external delivery partners.

The opportunity

You will join an organisation undertaking a significant digital transformation, with the implementation of a new ERP platform forming the core backbone of the future business environment.

The program includes a CRM implementation as an earlier delivery stream, followed by a larger and more complex ERP transformation. The ERP will replace and upgrade several legacy systems, requiring strong coordination across business processes, data, integrations, vendors and change activities.
With the program in its early stages, this role offers the opportunity to bring structure, momentum and confidence to an important transformation.

You will work alongside internal project resources, including project leadership, architecture, business analysis and change-management capability, while coordinating a range of business stakeholders and implementation partners.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead assigned ERP, CRM, data and related transformation workstreams through the full project lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain practical project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies and delivery governance.
  • Manage project scope, risks, issues, decisions and change control, ensuring clear ownership and timely resolution.
  • Coordinate internal technical teams, business subject-matter experts, project resources and external implementation partners.
  • Support vendor engagement, deliverable tracking, commercial coordination, Statements of Work and project financial activities.
  • Prepare clear status reporting and support governance forums, including steering committees and project boards.
  • Build strong relationships with senior and non-technical stakeholders, translating delivery impacts into clear business language.
  • Support business readiness activities, including requirements, testing, training, cutover, go-live and transition to operations.
  • Maintain alignment across CRM, ERP, data, integration and business-change dependencies.
  • Help establish a disciplined but adaptable delivery environment as the organisation progresses through a major transformation.
About you

You are an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong track record of leading enterprise-system implementations and business transformation initiatives. You are comfortable working in environments where priorities evolve, multiple stakeholders need alignment and a clear delivery structure must be built early.

You will bring:
  • Strong IT project-management experience, including major system implementation delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an ERP replacement or greenfield ERP implementation from planning and mobilisation through to go-live and stabilisation.
  • Strong experienec implementation/upgrading/transforming with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Ideally, exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement or comparable CRM implementation programs.
  • Experience managing complex integrations, data migration, legacy-system replacement and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, RAID management, governance and reporting capability.
  • Experience managing external software vendors, systems integrators, implementation partners and third-party deliverables.
  • Commercial awareness, including budget tracking, invoicing/accruals, licensing, contracts and Statements of Work.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with executive, business and technical audiences.
  • A collaborative, resilient and pragmatic approach, with the patience and flexibility to adapt while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
Why consider this role? This is an opportunity to play a central role in a business-critical transformation and influence the way a major organisation operates in the future. You will work on a program with genuine complexity and visibility, spanning CRM, ERP, data, integrations, business process improvement and organisational change.

The role is offered as a 24-month fixed-term contract, with a hybrid working arrangement and a competitive package aligned to the seniority and relevant transformation experience of the successful candidate.
