Senior Project Manager

We're partnering with a leading Australian organisation looking to bring on a Senior Project Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract, delivering a portfolio of technology projects within an established Agile PMO. A role bridging delivery teams and enterprise governance, making sure outcomes land on time, on budget and aligned to what the business actually needs.

The Opportunity

• Carry up to five concurrent initiatives, sized from smaller work requests through to large multi-stakeholder projects
• Deliver across genuinely different domains, from infrastructure and cloud through to business application rollouts, service management uplift, platform optimisation and automation requests
• Run agile delivery within PMO standards, owning ceremonies, risk registers, governance and steering committee reporting
• Engage corporate service leadership and business unit heads as a consultative partner, bringing them solutions they buy into rather than decisions handed down
• Manage cross-functional teams and broker alignment between business and technical stakeholders
• Own project budgets end to end, from cost estimation through forecasting, tracking and reporting
• Track progress against KPIs, milestones and deliverables, and step in early when delivery drifts
• Identify dependencies and resolve resource constraints across competing priorities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practice across the PMO

What We're Looking For

• Seven or more years delivering technology projects, primarily within agile environments
• A track record across varied project types
• Agile certification such as AgilePM, SAFe or PRINCE2 Agile
• Strong financial management, with real ownership of budgets and forecasting
• The presence to hold a room at senior leadership level, and the discipline to produce packs and reporting that stand up to scrutiny
• Confident with project and collaboration tooling such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or similar, and strong reporting skills
• Grounding in technology delivery, with enough fluency across infrastructure, cloud and applications to work credibly with technical teams
• Experience in structured or regulated environments
• Exposure to GenAI, Copilot or agentic AI rollouts an advantage
