Senior Project Manager - Insurance (1-Year Contract)

Salary: HKD 55000 - 80000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to join the team of my client. You will be responsible for leading complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing large-scale projects within highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management such as core system implementation, digital transformation, regulatory change, or operational efficiency projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, resource allocation strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
• Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders across business, IT, and operations. Manage expectations and communication effectively.
• Monitor project financials, forecasts, and actuals to ensure cost control.
• Oversee third-party vendors and system integrators to ensure delivery quality and adherence to timelines.
• Ensure adherence to internal PMO standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively identify blockers and drive resolution to keep projects on track.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field,
• Minimum 8–10+ years of experience in Project Management, with at least 3 years in a Senior PM role.
• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or Insurance is preferrable; experience in General Insurance.
• Strong proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies (Hybrid delivery experience is a plus).
• Certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (Scrum Master/SAFe) certification are highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage ambiguity.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Confluence).
• Proficient in English and Chinese written and presentation skills. Mandarin-speaking is a plus
• Ability to deliver results by leveraging resources within and outside the organization.
