About the role:
MTC is developing a significant portfolio of strategic and digital change. The Senior Project Manager role provides dedicated project management capability for high-priority enterprise projects, with specific focus on our Digital Transformation projects.
Forming part of the Enterprise Projects & Change Function and reporting to the National Manager, Program Delivery, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end scoping, planning and execution of our most critical technology projects, including a HRIS and Workforce Management System.
Key responsibilities:
Lead assigned strategic enterprise projects from initiation through to implementation
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, RAID logs and governance artefacts
Manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and delivery actions across assigned projects
Lead implementation activity for systems such as Workforce Management Rostering Platform, HRIS and other system implementations
Coordinate system implementation planning, testing, business readiness and go-live activity
Work with Business Analysts, Change Managers and subject matter experts to ensure requirements, processes and implementation plans are aligned
Prepare project status reports, steering committee papers and executive updates
Facilitate project governance forums, working groups and decision-making meetings
Maintain accurate project documentation and evidence of delivery progress
Build strong relationships with executives, senior leaders, operational managers and functional leads
Facilitate workshops, planning sessions and decision forums
Work with Change Managers and operational leaders to support adoption and business readiness
Key experience:
Significant project management experience managing complex system implementation projects involving vendors, business stakeholders and cross-functional project teams
Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end delivery of medium to large projects to desired outcomes
Experience preparing project documentation, business cases, governance materials, plans, schedules, reports and RAID logs
Experience working in complex stakeholder environments with competing priorities
Experience supporting change readiness, implementation planning and benefits realisation
Strong knowledge of, and experience applying, project governance frameworks.
Familiarity with project portfolio management, project scheduling and reporting tools desirable
Strong project planning, delivery and governance capability
Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills
Strong written communication and executive reporting capability
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and the practical use of AI tools.
Familiarity with project portfolio management, project scheduling and reporting tools desirable
Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, Scrum or equivalent (desirable)
Change management or business improvement certification (desirable)
