About the Opportunity
Our client is an established multinational payment-technology organisation supporting banks, financial institutions, payment processors, fintech companies and major retailers across international markets.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / PMO professional to support the governance and delivery of complex card-platform implementation and integration projects.
The successful candidate should have strong card-management technology experience, ideally gained through the implementation, migration, upgrade or transformation of platforms such as PowerCARD, VisionPLUS, PRIME, Card Suite, Cardlink, CardPac or Way4.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery and Governance
Support the end-to-end delivery of card-platform implementation, migration, upgrade and integration projects.
Develop project plans, work breakdown structures, milestones and delivery schedules.
Establish project-governance structures, methodologies and reporting processes.
Monitor scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, costs and delivery quality.
Ensure alignment with contractual commitments and client expectations.
Coordinate steering committees, project reviews and validation sessions.
Track decisions, risks and action items through to completion.
Card-Platform Implementation
Coordinate card-management, issuing, acquiring, processing and integration workstreams.
Work with product, functional and technical teams responsible for platform configuration and implementation.
Support platform migrations, upgrades, data conversion, testing, scheme certification and production deployment.
Coordinate integrations with core-banking systems, payment gateways, settlement platforms, digital channels and other banking applications.
Facilitate collaboration among clients, platform vendors, system integrators and third-party providers.
Monitor UAT, implementation readiness, cutover planning and post-production stabilisation.
Portfolio and Stakeholder Management
Coordinate activities across multiple projects or workstreams.
Maintain alignment among internal teams, clients, technology partners and senior stakeholders.
Identify project interdependencies and resource constraints.
Manage internal and external project communications.
Prepare project dashboards, management reports and executive updates.
Escalate delivery risks and recommend mitigation measures.
Budget and Resource Management
Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
Track resource allocation, actual effort, remaining effort and workload against project plans.
Ensure consistency among resource utilisation, timesheets, invoicing and project progress.
Produce delivery-management dashboards and financial reports.
Provide accurate project updates to delivery leadership and finance teams.
Quality and Performance
Ensure compliance with project-quality plans, delivery methodologies and applicable standards.
Monitor performance against agreed timelines, budgets, scope and quality measures.
Support continuous improvement in project-governance and delivery practices.
Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, reporting and audit trails.
Required Experience
At least 10 years of experience in project management, programme management, PMO or technology-delivery roles.
Strong experience delivering complex technology projects within banking, cards or payments.
Practical experience with at least one major card-management platform.
Experience managing card-platform implementations, upgrades, migrations or integrations.
Understanding of the card lifecycle, including issuance, authorisation, clearing, settlement and card servicing.
Experience working with banks, payment processors, card schemes, technology vendors or system integrators.
Strong project planning, budgeting, resource management, risk management and governance capabilities.
Experience coordinating business, product, functional, technical, testing and infrastructure teams.
Proficiency in MS Project, Microsoft Office and project-reporting tools.
Understanding of software-development and systems-integration methodologies.
Strong professional writing, reporting and presentation skills.

Candidates who have implemented, upgraded or migrated one of these platforms within a bank, payment processor, technology vendor or systems-integration environment will be strongly preferred.
Experience confined principally to an acquiring switch, without broader card-management platform exposure, may not be sufficient for this role.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Project Management or a related discipline.
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or another recognised project-management certification would be advantageous.
