Senior Project Manager

Our client is delivering professional construction project and cost management support to a government body, located in the Hampshire / Wiltshire area.

In order to strengthen their team further, we are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager, who will be responsible for the development and delivery of significant projects across a diverse portfolio of requirements.

Reporting to the Programme Director and accountable for the delivery of a variety of projects, you will cover the following areas:

• Plan and manage projects, liaising closely with customer and contractor’s team where required and compiling regular and concise reports
• Be the driving force behind productive meetings and project progress
• Follow the Prince2 Project governance process ensuring appropriate documentation for audit purposes
• Be financially and commercially aware to maximise cost effectiveness to customer
• Comply with all relevant Health & Safety procedures, ensuring the requirements of Health & Safety at Work, Construction and Design Management and Environmental legislation are met at all times and records maintained
• Knowledge of working to relevant regulations and standards

About you

Key skills and experience:

• Either hold or be able to attain security clearance to SC level
• A working knowledge of the NEC3 EEC Suite of contracts
• Working knowledge of current H&S legislation
• Experience in managing budgets relating to projects
• Knowledge of the RIBA stages
• An understanding of business and project risk management and contingency planning
