Summary

Senior Project Manager who leads large-scale energy savings performance contracts (ESPC) and design-build energy infrastructure projects from pursuit through closeout, acting as the main customer-facing owner of budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and quality. Tools mentioned include Salesforce and Acumatica; this is a construction/energy program management role, not a software engineering one.

As a Senior Project Manager, you are responsible for helping RISE pursue, develop, win, and deliver large-scale energy savings performance contracts and complex design-build energy infrastructure projects. This highly visible role serves as a senior customer-facing representative of RISE throughout procurement interviews, project development, contract negotiation, implementation, commissioning, and performance verification.

The position is accountable for converting RISE’s technical capabilities into a credible, executable delivery strategy; establishing customer confidence during competitive pursuits; and ensuring awarded projects meet contractual, financial, schedule, safety, quality, energy-performance, and customer-satisfaction commitments.

Unlike a conventional post-sale project management role, this position will participate before award to shape project strategy, evaluate delivery and commercial risks, support proposal development, lead customer interviews and presentations, and establish the project execution framework that will carry forward after contract award.

  • Provide executive leadership for assigned ESPC, energy management services, decarbonization, and complex design-build energy projects from pursuit and development through design, construction, commissioning, closeout, and performance verification.
  • Assume accountability for project execution following award, ensuring that commitments made during the proposal, interview, and negotiation process are translated into a disciplined and achievable project plan.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones, crew/subcontractor assignments, and material and equipment needs are planned and communicated in advance.
  • Foster strong relationships and serve as the primary point of contact with customers, utility program representatives, vendors, and installation teams to support successful project outcomes and a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Supervision of program coordination staff as applicable
  • Leadership of multidisciplinary internal and external delivery teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Development, Supply Chain, Field Operations, and Finance to ensure accurate handoffs and smooth information flow across systems (e.g., Salesforce, Acumatica, EPlus, as applicable to the division).
  • Identify and drive resolution of project risks, delays, and scope changes, escalating to leadership when needed.
  • Quickly and efficiently resolve any installation, craftsmanship, warranty, customer service or other issues.
  • Coordinate project close-out, including final walkthroughs, customer sign-off, punch-list resolution, and financial reconciliation.
  • Partner with Finance, and Billing to ensure timely project completion, accurate documentation, and prompt customer invoicing
  • Responsible for working with RISE management and the appropriate agencies to develop program standards, metrics, reporting, and ensure compliance within these guidelines
  • Coordinate the procurement and delivery of project materials and schedule installation resources to support efficient project execution.
  • Proactively resolve installation, scheduling, customer service, warranty, and quality-related issues to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery processes, consistent with RISE's RBS operating principles.

  • Coordinate bonding, insurance, prevailing-wage, permitting, contract-compliance, and public-procurement requirements with the appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Responsible for achieving program budgets, energy savings and cost effectiveness goals
  • Manage pipeline projections and reporting

SUBCONTRACTORS:

  • Develop the project procurement and subcontracting strategy, including bid packaging, bidder qualification, competitive solicitation, scope leveling, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations.
  • Lead subcontractor scope reviews and ensure that exclusions, clarifications, interfaces, and responsibilities are resolved before award.
  • Monitor subcontractor financial, schedule, safety, quality, and contractual performance throughout execution.
  • Develop recovery plans and exercise contractual remedies when subcontractor performance threatens project commitments.
  • Maintain accountability for long-lead equipment, approved-submittal dates, release dates, fabrication status, delivery dates, storage requirements, and installation sequencing.
