Senior Project Manager - Tampa, FL

About the Role:

We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager depending on technical experience, report writing skills, and client base to support environmental assessment and remediation projects. This role involves technical reporting, field investigations, regulatory coordination, and management of small to large-sized projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ACM Surveys, IAQ, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, site characterization and remediation activities, strong technical writing skills, and familiarity with Florida environmental regulations and programs.

The Preferred qualifications include the following:

  • Science-related degree required
  • Florida asbestos accreditations
  • EPA-accredited Lead Risk Assessor
  • Florida-licensed Mold Assessor and Indoor Air Quality experience
  • Technical report writing skills and experience
  • Strong, verifiable references
  • Reliable transportation available to be used for work purposes (mileage expense is reimbursed)
  • Great work attendance
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize obligations accordingly, and manage time wisely
  • Good computer skills, primarily MS Office programs & Excel-based databases
  • Must be able to work overtime when called upon
  • Must be willing to travel when called upon (40% or less)
  • Great business development skills to develop clients in Florida and adjoining States, existing client base a plus.

Some examples of the desired attributes are:

  • Background in construction, building maintenance, restoration and/or understanding of building systems and materials
  • Strong experience in the Florida market and adjoining states
  • Background in the environmental consulting industry
  • Willingness to be cross-trained and diversify skill-set
  • Experience managing complex projects
  • Strong knowledge of local, state and federal environmental/asbestos/lead/mold rules and regulations, industry standards and guidelines, as well as an understanding of the local market.
  • Applicants should possess an entrepreneurial mindset and are comfortable with being challenged. A successful record of managing projects, mentoring staff and developing clients and new leads are highly desired.

Travel will be required, primarily within Florida as projects demand. Company provided equipment, paid travel expenses, and benefits including insurance and retirement plan.
