Senior Project Manager (TELCO)
Summary
Lead a large-scale telco digital transformation program in Mexico, managing cross-functional teams to deliver self-service products, internal tools, and customer experiences while aligning to client priorities.
THE ROLE
As a Project Manager embedded in a large-scale telecommunications engagement, you will lead cross-functional delivery and governance for a fast-paced digital transformation program in the Mexican telco market. Reporting into the Project Management team, you will own end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams — from digital self-service products to internal tooling and customer-facing experiences — ensuring on-time delivery, quality output, and measurable business impact.
This role requires deep familiarity with how telco organizations operate: their internal structures, digital channels, and the complexity of serving millions of subscribers across prepaid and postpaid models.
LOCATION
APPLY is hybrid/remote-friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Santiago, Chile — candidates in Santiago are able to work out of our Santiago office as remote/hybrid employees. Mexico City is our second preferred location. All candidates should work in hours that align to CT (Central Timezone) or PT (Pacific Timezone)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Leadership & Governance

Develop, define, and lead oversight and governance mechanisms for various workstreams across the engagement

Build and maintain program plans, schedules, RAIDD logs, and performance reports aligned with client priorities

Manage complex, competing priorities with structured thinking and a high degree of creativity

Apply agile and lean methodologies to ensure successful management and transparent reporting of initiatives
Team Management & Execution

Lead cross-functional delivery teams (design, engineering, QA, product), establishing clear strategies and milestone plans

Drive priorities and task assignments aligned with overall program objectives

Navigate teams through technical and organizational challenges, applying proven PM principles
Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as a primary delivery contact for client stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives

Partner with client account managers to understand business needs and translate them into actionable delivery plans

Proactively surface risks, dependencies, and blockers before they impact delivery

Ensure client expectations are consistently met and exceeded throughout the engagement
Process & Quality Assurance

Establish and maintain project management processes across all workstreams

Develop resolution plans when delivery challenges arise, escalating appropriately and swiftly

Ensure deliverables meet scope, quality, and timeline expectations before handoff or release
TELCO INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)
You have delivered digital projects within the telecommunications sector. Experience with mass-market prepaid operators or MVNOs is strongly preferred. You have hands-on familiarity across several of the following:

Self-service in remote channels : IVR, WhatsApp and conversational assistants.

Self-service in owned channels : mobile app and authenticated web (My Account).

Sales and awareness products: public website, acquisition and conversion journeys.

Complementary products : device sales/e-commerce, captive portal.

Internal tools for operations teams: back-office, agent-facing and support tooling.
REQUIREMENTS:

7–10+ years of experience in project or program management, with at least 3 years in the telco industry

Full professional fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) — required

Proven track record delivering digital projects in the telco sector, ideally in Mexico or LATAM

Strong command of project management tools: Jira/Confluence, Google Workspace, Notion, Smartsheet

Demonstrated experience with agile and lean delivery methodologies

Proven track record managing programs involving digital transformation, business process optimization, or organizational change

Excellent communication and facilitation skills — able to translate complexity for both technical and executive audiences

Strong client-facing skills and experience managing expectations in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Ability to manage multiple workstreams and resources simultaneously without sacrificing quality
