Senior Project Support Officer

The Senior Project Support Officer provides high-level project coordination, project controls, governance and reporting support across engineering and design projects within the telecommunications and energy sectors.

The role works closely with Project Managers, Engineering Leads, Designers, Consultants and other stakeholders to ensure projects are well coordinated, accurately reported and delivered in accordance with agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality and governance requirements.

The position is expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, proactively identify issues and dependencies, and provide practical support to Project Managers and senior stakeholders.

The successful person will have an understanding of engineering project environments, design deliverables, technical documentation, stakeholders, project controls.

    Essential experience:

    • Project coordination experience in engineering, infrastructure, utilities, energy, telecommunications, or construction.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
    • Experience with project reporting, governance, schedules, risks, issues, actions, and dependencies.
    • Experience coordinating technical/design deliverables and working with engineering or design teams.
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Experience with project financial administration and commercial processes.
    • Strong document management and attention to detail.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office/Excel capability and ability to learn project management systems quickly.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands and proactively identify issues.
    • Experience with Oracle, Aconex, ProjectWise, SharePoint, MS Project, Power BI
