Job Title: Senior Proposal Solutions Architect
Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000/year
Employment Status: Full Time
Type of Schedule: Full time 40hrs/week
Position Summary
Agile Defense is seeking a Senior Proposal Solutions Architect to lead the technical development and writing of competitive Federal proposals supporting DoD and Federal Civilian customers.
This role is intended for professionals who have personally authored and led written proposal responses. The ideal candidate will combine hands‑on experience developing mission‑focused technical solutions with demonstrated experience producing Federal proposal deliverables such as RFP/RFI responses, white papers, technical volumes, and solution narratives.
Note: This is not a hands-on software engineering or post‑award delivery role.

Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development & Technical Writing (Primary Focus)
• Write, lead, and develop technical content for Federal and DoD proposal responses.
• Produce RFP/RFI responses, technical volumes, white papers, solution narratives, CONOPS, and other capture deliverables.
• Translate customer requirements into compliant, compelling, and differentiated technical solutions.
• Lead technical solution development from early capture through submission.
• Participate in Pink/Red Team reviews and incorporate feedback.
Solutioning & Capture Support
• Develop AI, data, cloud, and emerging technology solutions aligned with Federal mission needs.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Capture, Proposal teams, SMEs, and leadership.
• Support customer discussions, solutioning sessions, Industry Days, and oral presentations.

Required Experience
Candidates must demonstrate both of the following:
1. Hands-On Federal Proposal Development Experience
• Proven experience personally authoring or leading technical proposal content.
• Experience producing multiple deliverable types, including:
– RFP/RFI responses
– Technical volumes
– White papers
– Solution narratives
– CONOPS
• Ability to drive a technical solution from requirements through review and submission.
2. Federal Solution Experience
• Experience developing or architecting AI, advanced analytics, data, or cloud solutions for Federal or DoD customers.
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into mission‑focused solutions and persuasive written content.

Critical Qualification
Candidates must have personally developed and written Federal proposal deliverables. Experience limited to sales support, technical SME input, or engineering alone—without owning written proposal content—is not sufficient.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience:
The successful candidate will have 12+ years of experience in technical roles requiring collaboration among team members and communication with senior-level customers, including 6+ years of supporting business capture processes with written and oral response development. A bachelor’s degree or higher is required, with a preference for engineering, computer science, or IT Management related fields of study.

Required Skills

  • Experience developing technical solutions for Federal/DoD customers
  • Strong software, data, cloud, or AI solution architecture background
  • Experience supporting large Federal captures (10-50 million)
  • Experience developing RFI/RFP responses and win themes
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to turn customer requirements into a complete technical solution
  • Experience with Federal customer engagement and capture activities

Preferred

  • AI/GenAI experience
  • Data architecture experience
  • Zero Trust or cATO experience
