Senior Purchasing Manager
- Develop and implement group-wide procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and cost optimization targets.
- Lead sourcing initiatives for key materials, components, and services across regions.
- Drive supplier consolidation, localization, and risk diversification strategies.
- Monitor global market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks to inform purchasing decisions.
- Establish and maintain a robust vendor management framework, including selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Build strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure continuity, pricing, quality, and innovation.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and commercial terms at the corporate level.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously monitor raw material market trends and industry dynamics to adjust procurement strategies proactively.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through supplier consolidation, volume bundling, renegotiation, and other levers to achieve savings targets.
- Analyze procurement data to identify savings opportunities and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, finance, and sales teams to align procurement with production and business needs.
- Provide high-level oversight and guidance to factory purchasing teams in JST and PST, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
- Support new product development initiatives through early supplier involvement.
- Standardize procurement processes and policies across regions.
- Enhance procurement systems and tools (e.g., SAP) to improve transparency, efficiency, and reporting.
- Promote digitalization and data-driven decision-making within the procurement function.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, logistical, and supplier-related risks.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate governance standards.
Competencies & Skills:
- Deep understanding of PCB end‑to‑end procurement processes, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance management
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and manage complex situations
- Solid knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and supply‑risk mitigation frameworks.
- Sharp business acumen with the ability to make sound decisions under uncertainty.
- Able to work effectively under time pressure and deadline driven within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with pro-active, self-motivated and responsible manner.
- Experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Travel is required.
Education & Work Experience:
- University degree, preferably in procurement / supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in procurement/sourcing within manufacturing or trading environments.
