Summary
Senior Python back-end developer building secure, scalable systems for cryptocurrency trading, custody, and settlement, integrating with blockchain networks and exchanges.
We are seeking a Senior Python Back-End Developer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of secure, scalable systems supporting cryptocurrency trading, custody, and settlement. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders and team leaders to deliver high-quality technical solutions aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders in developing features and new products
- Develop solutions according to specified business requirements
- Define and write up the technical spec, including the appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
- Demonstrate and present implementation to team leaders/heads/CTO
- Implement Unit and Integration Tests
- Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility
- Participate in code reviews, identify anti-patterns in the code and refactoring opportunities
- Design and implement secure integrations with blockchain networks, crypto exchanges, and digital wallets
- Contribute to the development of systems supporting cryptocurrency trading, custody, and settlement
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by their superior from time to time
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in software development and coding in Python
- Knowledge of software and application design and architecture
- Understanding of software quality assurance principles
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or other messaging systems
- Experience in developing microservices and managing containerized applications, including building web sockets
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and IaC tools such as Terraform and Helm
- Proficiency in version control and continuous integration tools such as Git and Jenkins
- Understanding of web security standards and best practices
- Knowledge of blockchain fundamentals, cryptography, and digital assets
- Hands-on experience integrating with crypto APIs (REST/WebSocket), smart contracts, or blockchain SDKs
Nice to have
- Exposure to DeFi protocols
- Familiarity with Web3 frameworks
- Knowledge of digital custody systems
