Senior Python Backend Engineer
Responsibilities
- Integrate into a development team to build products and improve Itaú bank's data platform
- Lead the adoption of modern development practices
- Utilize AI deeply within the daily work cycle to accelerate delivery and ensure software quality
- Design agents and create modular tools for safe operation within the codebase
- Implement Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and Intent Development to minimize manual code generation
- Design isolated test environments (scaffolds/simulators) for autonomous code validation
- Solid experience with Python backend programming
- Good knowledge of Java programming
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design
- Experience with APIs and microservices development
- Knowledge of event-oriented cloud system architecture
- Experience with software testing (TDD, distributed systems testing)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
- Experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, StepFunction, CloudWatch, S3, SNS, RDS)
- Experience with SCM (Git), CI/CD, and DevOps processes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Mastery of AI-assisted development cycles using Code Agents
- Knowledge of NoSQL (preferably DynamoDB)
- Experience with analytical data processing platforms (Hadoop, SAS)
- Experience with Kafka
- Experience with Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift)
- Knowledge of SRE
- Knowledge of Generative AI and multi-agent architecture
- Knowledge of observability, logging, and AWS service monitoring
