Senior Python Data Integration Engineer
Summary
Contract role via consultancy emagine, on behalf of an energy-industry client in Greater Copenhagen: building a custom Python data integration solution replacing an ETL platform — scheduled data processing, ingestion/transformation/storage flows, Kubernetes CronJobs, Kafka and CI/CD. Hybrid with at least 3 days onsite, running Oct 2026–Apr 2027 with a possible 6-month extension.
On behalf of a client in the energy industry, we are looking for a Python Data Integration Engineer to support the development of a custom data integration solution replacing an existing ETL platform.
Main Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Python applications for scheduled data-processing tasks
• Build end-to-end data flows for ingestion, transformation and storage
• Containerise and run workloads using Kubernetes CronJobs and Kafka
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and updates
• Troubleshoot and optimise data-processing workflows to ensure reliable operation
Key Requirements
• Strong hands-on Python experience with data ingestion, transformation and storage
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes CronJobs and Kafka
• Experience with containerisation and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience integrating data through SFTP and REST APIs
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT or similar data-processing workflows
