Senior Python Developer (Azure)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, code, and unit test standalone pieces of work.
- Participate actively in code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Create and update project documentation to support ongoing development efforts.
- Work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Engage in daily stand-up meetings and contribute to regular sprint planning sessions.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency in Python, especially for backend development using frameworks like FastAPI or Django, which are often used in AI and ML integrations.
- Experience in building data pipelines for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, specifically in automating data extraction from various sources (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, GitLab, JIRA, and Eridoc) and structuring it for downstream systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, particularly: Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Search.
- Ability to develop and manage secure APIs for communication between the frontend (React) and backend, as well as with third-party services.
- Experience with Azure SQL, NoSQL databases, or Azure Cosmos DB would be valuable for managing structured and unstructured data.
- Some experience integrating and deploying GenAI models or knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines is essential to understand how data can be fed effectively into these systems.
