We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join a Counterparty Credit Risk technology team within a major financial services organisation. You will be responsible for designing and developing Python-based solutions to solve complex business and risk management problems. The role will involve working closely with business users, Business Analysts and other developers to build and enhance enterprise risk management applications.
Key Responsibilities
Senior Python Developer
- Design, develop and maintain Python applications and services
- Build technical solutions for complex business and risk management requirements
- Work closely with business users and Business Analysts to understand requirements
- Collaborate with development colleagues on solution design and delivery
- Develop solutions within cloud-based infrastructure
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions
- Participate in Agile development activities and code reviews
Required Experience
- Strong commercial Python development experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Python
- Strong cloud infrastructure experience
- Experience with object-oriented database management systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Experience
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- JIRA and Confluence
- Financial services or risk management experience
- Counterparty Credit Risk experience would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
