Senior Python Developer – Career Progression!

A global financial services organisation with a strong market presence is expanding its Dublin engineering team and is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a high-impact technology function.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer who wants to take real ownership of the technology they build, with the potential to progress into a technical leadership position as the team grows.

You’ll work within a critical business area focused on Portfolio & Capital, developing distributed Python systems that support core business operations. The environment combines greenfield development with the modernisation of existing platforms, giving you the opportunity to influence architecture, engineering practices and technical direction.

You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, product managers and business stakeholders, with genuine ownership from design through to deployment and optimisation.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop scalable, distributed systems using Python
• Lead and contribute to greenfield development and platform modernisation
• Work with cloud technologies and modern distributed architectures
• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle from design and development through to deployment and optimisation

What You’ll Bring

• Experience building end-to-end applications and distributed systems
• Strong SQL and experience working with data-heavy applications
• Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP
