Role Description The Senior Python Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining back-end services and APIs using Python, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and research requirements into technical specifications, write clean and testable code, and perform code reviews. Daily responsibilities include integrating and optimizing databases, troubleshooting and resolving production issues, improving existing systems, and documenting technical solutions. The Senior Python Developer is also expected to mentor other developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and help establish best practices in software development.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with advanced proficiency in Python.
- Experience in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Proficiency in Databases, such as relational or NoSQL systems, including schema design and query optimization.
- Solid background in Software Development practices, including version control, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with frameworks and tools commonly used in Python back-end development (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
- Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Mandaluyong, collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, and mentor junior developers.
