Senior Python Developer

In this role you design, build, and operate backend services and data-driven platforms at King, enabling cross-team decision-making and scalable analytics. You work on forecasting, data processing, and APIs that support business goals and product decisions, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product stakeholders. You will contribute to end-to-end solutions, integrate with the broader King and Microsoft ecosystems, and advance reliability, observability, and performance in cloud-native environments. This is a hands-on, impact-focused role in a collaborative, learning-driven culture.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
• Build scalable applications supporting forecasting, analytics, and decision-making processes
• Develop distributed processing pipelines and asynchronous workloads
• Design and optimize relational OLTP databases, data models, and query performance
• Build and maintain data processing, analytical, and forecasting workflows
• Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications when required
• Build intuitive interfaces for technical and non-technical users
• Integrate services with King and Microsoft ecosystems (identity, collaboration, productivity)
• Develop and maintain APIs and connectors for interoperability
• Deploy, monitor, and operate containerized applications in cloud-native environments
• Contribute to technical designs, architectural discussions, and best practices
• Improve system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence
• Deliver high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing across teams
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation throughout the SDLC

• Strong Python development experience in production environments
• Experience building backend services and APIs
• Understanding of modern web application development and full-stack contribution
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and distributed systems
• Experience designing and optimizing relational databases
• Experience building data-intensive applications and processing large datasets
• Experience with background processing, job orchestration, or distributed workloads
• Experience deploying and operating containerized and cloud-native applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automation pipelines
• Strong testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
