Senior Python engineer building a monitoring and diagnostics system for local/remote data access, analytics, and troubleshooting. Day to day: designing databases, data pipelines and ETL logic, building analytics solutions, and deploying on AWS. Core tech: Python, SQL/PostgreSQL, time-series DBs, Linux, and AWS services (Lambda, EC2, Cognito, Greengrass).
Project description
Monitoring and diagnostics system which fulfills both local and remote data access and analytics requirement, as well as local and remote troubleshooting purpose.
Responsibilities
- -Analyze, design and implementing databases, information models and data pipelines. -Building the code and logic required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL or programming languages. -Building analytics solutions that provide valuable insights for clients and end users. - Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures - Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems - Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes - Working with AWS services to deploy, scale, and manage applications
SKILLS
Must have
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Python Engineer.
- Strong software engineering skills, including object-oriented design and an understanding of system design patterns
- Experience of presenting and implementing development team processes / best practices for environments, security, coding standards, QA processes etc
- Experience of mentoring and building the skills of team members
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with Timeseries DB and real-time data
- Experience with AWS Services (Lambda, EC2, Cognito, Greengrass);
- SQL/PostgreSQL knowledge
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience in Industry/Manufactoring is highly desired !
Nice to have
AWS certification, MQTT, Modbus, or similar industrial protocols.
