JOB OVERVIEW
Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled Senior Python Developer who thrives in building scalable, high-performance backend systems. In this role, you will design and implement distributed services, with a strong focus on asynchronous processing and reliable data workflows. You’ll work on systems that handle real-world scale, leveraging cloud storage and event-driven architectures to ensure efficiency and resilience. This is an opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure, solve complex engineering challenges, and shape how systems operate in production environments.
Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience with Python and 3+ years of experience with Go to be considered for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Go.
Build and manage asynchronous task processing systems (Celery or alternatives like Kafka).
Integrate and manage cloud storage solutions (e.g., S3).
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience with Python and 3+ years of experience with Go.
Hands-on experience with S3 or similar object storage systems.
Experience with asynchronous processing (Celery, Kafka, or similar).
Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Experience with high-scale systems
Familiarity with cloud environments and deployment pipelines
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Initiative and drive to do great things.
