Senior Python Developer / Team Lead (Onsite, Mid-Shift)
Job Description:
- Lead and manage the software development team, setting daily priorities and overseeing the completion of assigned tasks.
- Oversee and prioritize software development activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using Python, providing hands-on technical support.
- Integrate and utilize AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code and/or OpenAI Codex, to improve development efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality, maintainability, performance, and reliability of software solutions.
- Manage software releases, deployment activities, and continuous integration workflows to support efficient development and delivery.
- Maintain and optimize Linux-based development environments, tools, and workflows.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of search and data retrieval solutions using OpenSearch and/or Elasticsearch.
- Coordinate with remote contractors and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and timely project execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, technical solutions, and overall team productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience; expertise in Python development.
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing a software development team.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using Claude Code and/or OpenAI Codex.
- Experience conducting code reviews and managing software releases.
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools and workflows, particularly GitHub Action is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Linux-based development environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with OpenSearch and/or Elasticsearch is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage a software development team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with remote contractors.
- Willingness to work in a European time zone.
