We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer who can design, build, and scale secure, high-performance web applications and SaaS platforms with strong exposure to AI, LLM integrations, APIs, cloud deployment, and modern software engineering practices.

Role Overview

The Senior Python Developer will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems, APIs, SaaS platforms, AI-enabled features, and enterprise web applications. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Python frameworks, database design, system architecture, cloud platforms, third-party integrations, and AI-driven application development.

This role is suitable for someone who can take ownership of technical delivery, guide junior developers, work with product and UI/UX teams, and contribute to architecture decisions for SaaS and AI-powered platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based web applications, backend services, APIs, and SaaS platforms.

Build secure and high-performance REST APIs and microservices using frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar.

Work on SaaS platform features such as user management, role-based access control, multi-tenancy, subscriptions, dashboards, reporting, notifications, and integrations.

Develop AI-enabled features using LLMs, generative AI APIs, RAG workflows, vector databases, prompt engineering, automation agents, and AI-assisted workflows.

Integrate third-party APIs, payment systems, authentication providers, CRM/ERP systems, cloud services, and external platforms.

Design and optimise relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar.

Work with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, product owners, and QA teams to deliver complete product features.

Write clean, reusable, testable, and well-documented code following best practices.

Build and maintain asynchronous workflows, background jobs, queues, schedulers, and event-driven services using tools such as Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.

Implement cloud-ready applications using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Ensure application security, data privacy, API security, authentication, authorisation, and secure coding practices.

Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and observability through logging, monitoring, and profiling.

Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote strong engineering standards across the team.

Collaborate with DevOps teams for deployment, release management, environment configuration, and production support.

Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, technical estimation, and product roadmap discussions.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution for application defects, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in Python development.

Experience building production-grade web applications using FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, authentication, authorisation, and API security.

Experience building or contributing to SaaS platforms, cloud-native applications, enterprise portals, dashboards, or product platforms.

Good understanding of multi-tenant architecture, scalable backend design, reusable components, and modular application structure.

Strong database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or equivalent technologies.

Experience with ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, or similar.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, Linux environments, and deployment workflows.

Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, clean architecture, and code quality practices.

Experience with unit testing and API testing using tools such as Pytest, Unittest, Postman, Swagger, or similar.

AI / Machine Learning / LLM Experience

Hands-on exposure to building AI-enabled software features.

Experience integrating with AI APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Hugging Face, or similar.

Understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, document processing, RAG pipelines, and AI workflow automation.

Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS, Qdrant, or similar is preferred.

Ability to build AI-powered features such as chatbots, intelligent search, document summarisation, automated ticket classification, workflow assistants, recommendation engines, and knowledge-base assistants.

Understanding of AI safety, data privacy, hallucination control, and secure use of enterprise data in AI applications.

Preferred Skills

Experience with front-end technologies such as React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Experience in SaaS product engineering, B2B platforms, field service platforms, ITSM platforms, customer portals, or AI automation products.

Knowledge of serverless architecture, Kubernetes, Terraform, message queues, and event-driven systems.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Understanding of DevOps, observability, monitoring, logging, and production support.

Exposure to tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or other AI-assisted development tools.

Experience with security best practices such as OAuth2, JWT, SSO, encryption, OWASP, and secure API design.
