Senior Python Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Professional Python development experience
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and engineering principles
  • Experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask
  • Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and distributed systems
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Strong testing experience, including PyTest, unit, integration, and automated testing
  • Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is desirable
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues is desirable
  • Exposure to data engineering, machine learning, or AI platforms is desirable
  • Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers is desirable
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications and services
  • Build robust APIs and microservices architectures
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering teams
  • Drive best practices in software engineering, code quality, and performance
  • Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making
  • Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes, and tooling
  • Support cloud-native deployments and infrastructure automation
