Job Title: Python Software Engineer

Experience Required: 8-10 Years

Location: Fremont, CA

Work Model: Onsite (5 Days/Week)

Priority: Critical

The ideal candidate has strong backend development experience, is comfortable working in a cross-functional Agile environment, and has hands‑on experience building scalable, high-performance applications using Python and modern software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python.
• Contribute to applications developed in C# and ASP.NET as needed.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following software engineering best practices.
• Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Backend & API Development

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Build scalable microservices-based applications.
• Integrate internal and third‑party APIs.
• Optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.

Database Development

• Design and optimize relational database solutions using MySQL.
• Develop efficient SQL queries and data models.
• Utilize Redis for caching, session management, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot database performance issues and optimize queries.

System Design

• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to design scalable distributed systems.
• Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
• Develop reusable components and services following modern software design principles.

Testing & Quality

• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
• Debug and resolve software defects.
• Participate in peer code reviews.
• Maintain high code quality and documentation standards.

Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and fellow developers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Support production deployments and troubleshoot issues when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python for backend application development.
• Working knowledge of C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Experience developing applications using ASP.NET.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development.
• Experience building microservices-based applications.
• Hands‑on experience with MySQL.
• Experience using Redis for caching or distributed application support.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Excellent debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest or NUnit.
