Senior QA Automation Engineer (API)

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in backend API automation. The ideal candidate will drive automation strategy across the SDLC, contribute to framework architecture, and leverage AI/Copilot tools to accelerate script development.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10 years of overall QA/SDET experience, with strong emphasis on API test automation using Rest Assured (Java) or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of RESTful services, JSON/XML, HTTP methods, authentication mechanisms (OAuth2/JWT/API keys).
• Hands‑on experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions) — configuring, triggering, and troubleshooting pipeline runs.
• Proven experience in test automation framework design/architecture (modular, hybrid, or BDD‑based).
• Practical experience using AI‑assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot or similar) to write/optimize automation scripts.
• Strong programming skills in Java (or relevant language for the stack).
• Experience with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and version control (Git).
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of database validation (SQL) for backend test scenarios.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and drive automation initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
