Senior QA Automation Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain automated test suites for web, mobile, and API apps, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with dev teams to ensure software reliability and performance.
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who will help the team ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications through automated testing. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving testing efficiency and product stability.
This role involves building and maintaining robust automation frameworks, collaborating closely with development teams, and driving QA excellence across the platform.
What you’ll be doing
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API, web, and mobile applications
Execute automated test suites and analyze results to ensure product stability
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
Collaborate with developers, BAs, and POs to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage
Identify, document, and track defects using Jira and follow up on resolutions
Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing using automation frameworks
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing strategies
Support code reviews and provide feedback on automation best practices
What we’re looking for
At least 5 years focused on automation
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodology
Experience with web and mobile application testing
Familiarity with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Technical skills
Solid experience designing and maintaining modular, reusable automation frameworks (e.g., data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid)
Experience with automation tools such as Postman, Playwright, K6, or JMeter
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker) and running automated tests in isolated containers
Deep understanding of API protocols (REST, WebSocket, GraphQL) and authentication methods (JWT, OAuth2, HMAC, etc.)
Knowledge of test design patterns and best practices for maintainable automation code
Understanding of test data management (mocks, stubs, sandbox APIs)
Strong experience with reporting tools (Allure, HTMLExtra, or CI/CD dashboards)
Experience working with version control (Git) and managing automation repositories
Ability to analyze performance metrics or integrate performance checks into functional tests
Ability to mentor and guide junior QA engineers in automation best practices
Collaborate closely with developers on PR reviews, code quality, and framework design
Participate in automation architecture discussions and process improvements
Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the QA stack
Preferred skills (These skills are considered an advantage but are not mandatory)
Experience with testing microservices and distributed systems
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, etc.) Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases for backend validation
Understanding of security testing fundamentals (authorization, input validation, etc.)
Previous experience with game or payment platform integrations (if relevant)
