Senior QA Automation Engineer (Databricks, SQL, Python, Robot Framework)

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join EPAM's Market Regulation team as part of the DADB (Data Analytics & Dashboarding) team, responsible for ensuring data quality and regulatory reporting integrity within one of the world's leading investment banks. The team develops and supports critical data processing, analytics, and reporting solutions used for regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including CFTC, SEC, ESMA, FCA, FINMA, MAS, ASIC and HKMA.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a key role in validating complex ETL processes, data transformations, regulatory reporting datasets, and analytics solutions that support critical business and compliance functions.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wrocław or Kraków, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions using Robot Framework, Python and SQL
• Validate data pipelines, transformations and business rules implemented within Databricks and cloud-based analytics platforms
• Perform end-to-end testing of data ingestion, enrichment, reconciliation and reporting processes
• Verify data completeness, accuracy, lineage and consistency across multiple source systems and reporting layers
• Execute validation of large-scale datasets supporting regulatory and supervisory reporting obligations
• Investigate data anomalies, perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with engineering teams on remediation activities
• Contribute to test strategy, test planning, estimation and quality metrics reporting
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into delivery workflows
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts and stakeholders from Regulatory Reporting and Data Analytics domains
• Ensure compliance with strict quality, auditability and control standards expected in a regulated banking environment

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Software Testing and QA Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework
• Advanced proficiency in SQL
• Strong background in Python programming and scripting
• Experience testing data-intensive applications, ETL pipelines or data warehouse solutions
• Familiarity with Databricks
• Ability to validate and analyze large datasets
• Competency in creating automated regression and integration test suites
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Git
• Background in Oracle RDBMS
• Understanding of Regulatory Reporting
