Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in UI automation, API testing, and database validation. The ideal candidate should independently design, develop, execute, debug, and maintain automation frameworks and troubleshoot complex issues across integrated systems.

Mandatory Skills

• Selenium with Java: Strong Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, Page Object Model, TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and framework development.
• REST Assured: API automation frameworks, request/response validation, authentication, JSON/XML, schema validation, and API chaining.
• Postman: Collections, environments, JavaScript assertions, pre-request scripts, Newman, and automated execution.
• Database Testing: Strong SQL, complex joins, subqueries, data reconciliation, CRUD validation, and source-to-target data verification.
• API & Backend Testing: REST APIs, HTTP methods, OAuth 2.0, bearer tokens, error handling, third-party integrations, and synchronous/asynchronous workflows.
• UI Testing: Functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, and end-to-end testing.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, and automation pipeline integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Selenium Java and REST Assured automation frameworks.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, API, database, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate data consistency across APIs, databases, middleware, and downstream systems.
• Troubleshoot failures using application logs, server logs, and transaction tracing.
• Identify root causes and distinguish application defects from automation, environment, and test-data issues.
• Participate in requirement analysis, defect triage, UAT, and release-readiness reviews.
• Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations effectively to developers and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Microservices, API gateways, Kafka, Grafana, Splunk, JMeter/k6, AWS/Azure, Docker, and experience with transaction-processing or integration-heavy applications.

Candidate Requirements

• 5 - 7 years of relevant QA/testing experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise across Selenium Java, REST Assured, API testing, and SQL/database testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and explain personal technical contributions clearly.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
• Must be available to join immediately or within one week.
• Must be comfortable working from 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM IST and supporting US client hours.
