Senior QA Automation Engineer
Summary
The Senior QA Automation Engineer will lead the development of test automation strategies and quality processes at PwC. This role involves hands-on implementation of automated testing solutions, coaching development teams, and integrating quality practices into CI/CD pipelines.

In this role, you will play a key part in PwC’s quality transformation journey. You will help shape how quality assurance and testing are embedded across our development processes, support teams in adopting modern testing practices and increase the level of automation across our technology environment.
We are in the early stages of our test automation journey and are looking for a senior QA professional who can help establish the practices, capabilities and mindset needed to take software quality to the next level. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to influence, coach and drive change. You will work both hands-on and strategically, helping teams succeed through modern quality engineering practices and sustainable ways of working.
The role is based in Stockholm, and you are expected to be on-site on a regular basis according to internal policy.
Your main responsibilities as Senior QA Automation Engineer
- Lead and develop PwC’s test automation journey and quality strategy
- Design and implement scalable automated testing solutions
- Establish and promote best practices within testing and quality assurance
- Coach and support development teams in building quality into their products
- Work closely with developers, architects and stakeholders to continuously improve software quality
- Contribute to the implementation of testing within CI/CD processes and modern development practices
Requirements for the role
We believe you have extensive experience within software testing and quality assurance and enjoy driving improvements in both technology and ways of working.
- Several years of experience within software testing and quality assurance
- Strong experience with test automation and automated testing frameworks
- Experience designing test strategies and quality processes
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Fluent in English
Nice to have
- Experience from large-scale enterprise environments
- Experience with Azure DevOps and modern development toolchains
- Experience with API and performance testing
- ISTQB certification or equivalent
·Professional working proficiency in Swedish
