Senior QA Automation Engineer (Remote US PST Hours).

We are building an intelligent early health risk detection platform for patient health tracking at home, addressing a $100B+ market in the U.S. Our California-based team is focused on delivering measurable outcomes for patients and providers through scalable, high-quality technology.

We’re looking for a high-caliber Senior QA Automation Engineer who operates like an engineer, not just a tester: someone who can own quality systems, build automation at scale, and proactively identify risk in a fast-moving product environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own quality end-to-end: from requirements review through release, ensuring production readiness.
  • Architect, build, and scale automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
  • Write and maintain robust automated tests using Playwright (preferred), Pytest, and/or Selenium.
  • Conduct deep exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and system-level risks.
  • Validate features across web and mobile platforms (iOS/Android).
  • Partner closely with engineering and product to define acceptance criteria and shift quality left.
  • Drive test strategy, coverage, and quality metrics (not just execution).
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Own test case management (TestRail) and lead defect lifecycle in Jira with high-quality reporting.
  • Ensure accessibility (ADA/WCAG) and overall user experience quality.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong emphasis on automation engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript and/or Python (required).
  • Proven experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch or scaling existing ones.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright (strongly preferred) or Selenium.
  • Experience testing mobile applications (native or cross-platform).
  • Solid understanding of test architecture, CI/CD, and modern QA best practices.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub, Jira, TestRail, and DevOps workflows.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify gaps, risks, and edge cases proactively.
  • Excellent written and verbal English, especially for clear bug reporting and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work USA PST hours and collaborate with a U.S.-based team.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments.
  • Experience with API testing, performance testing, or security testing.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA).
  • Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment.

Why Join Us?

  • Compensation: $40,000–$50,000 (based on experience).
  • Work on a product that directly impacts patient outcomes at scale.
  • High ownership role with real influence on product quality and engineering standards.
  • Fast-paced, execution-focused environment with direct access to leadership.
  • Clear path toward QA leadership or SDET growth.
  • Fully remote with long-term growth potential.

Who This Role Is For:

  • You think like an engineer first, QA second.
  • You care about building systems, not just running test cases.
  • You’re comfortable owning outcomes in an unstructured, fast-moving environment.
