Senior QA Automation Engineer
Ria Money Transfer is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our IT team in Querétaro, Mexico.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced QA professional who wants to take a key role in the transition from manual testing to automated testing.
You will work closely with Software Developers, QA Engineers and other technical teams to design, implement and improve automated testing solutions for web applications.
What will you do?
- Design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications.
- Lead the transition from manual testing to test automation.
- Identify opportunities to automate existing manual regression and end-to-end tests.
- Design and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or equivalent.
- Create, execute and maintain functional, system and regression test suites.
- Participate in test strategy, software design and technical discussions.
- Perform risk and impact analysis and recommend testing solutions.
- Create and maintain test data.
- Identify, analyze and document software defects.
- Work with development teams to troubleshoot and investigate issues.
- Use SQL for data validation and testing.
- Work with tools such as Azure DevOps, Git and other test management/version control platforms.
- Identify opportunities to improve QA processes and testing efficiency.
- Support the implementation of automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to QA best practices.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional QA/testing experience.
- Strong experience with web application testing.
- Strong experience with test automation.
- Experience developing, implementing or scaling automation frameworks.
- Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or similar automation tools.
- Experience working with both manual and automated testing.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design, regression testing and defect management.
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and/or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior QA professionals is a plus.
- Advanced English – strong verbal and written communication skills.
