We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a team working on the modernization of a large and complex risk management application for a global technology leader in electrification and industrial technologies.

The project focuses on refactoring an existing Java-based application, with quality assurance playing an important role throughout the transformation. You will join an established QA team, including a QA Lead and other QA specialists, and work across both automated and manual testing.

The team is based in Poland and works closely together, so Polish at B2 level or higher is strongly preferred.

This is the team

In your role, you'll become a vital member of an established engineering team, working alongside a QA Lead, other QA specialists, and software engineers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure product quality throughout the refactoring process by combining test automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.

This is you

  • Strong commercial experience as a Senior QA / QA Automation Engineer

  • Very good knowledge of TypeScript for test automation development

  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end UI and API testing

  • Experience designing maintainable test automation using Page Object Model and test fixture patterns

  • Practical experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, work items, test plans, and Git repositories

  • Strong manual and exploratory testing skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify edge cases, root causes, regression risks, and quality gaps in complex systems

  • Experience creating and maintaining test cases, test plans, and high-quality bug reports

  • Good understanding of STLC and QA methodologies

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing activities

  • Good command of English

  • Polish at B2 level or higher is strongly preferred

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Knowledge of Java and Selenium WebDriver

  • Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines, particularly YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps

  • Experience with REST API testing and request/response validation

  • Performance testing experience with k6 or JMeter

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure

This is your role

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright

  • Perform end-to-end UI and API testing

  • Conduct thorough manual and exploratory testing of a complex business application

  • Build and maintain regression coverage to ensure functional stability throughout the Java application refactoring

  • Define test scenarios and identify edge cases, dependencies, and potential regression risks

  • Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and other QA documentation

  • Investigate complex defects and contribute to root cause analysis

  • Work with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, work items, test plans, and Git repositories

  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and the QA Lead throughout the modernization process

  • Take ownership of quality within your area and contribute to improving testing practices and automation coverage
