Responsibilities:
- Engineer robust test automation for a cutting-edge cloud data platform, ensuring it meets the complex data transformation needs of 50+ business tenants.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable test frameworks that integrate seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines, accelerating delivery and reducing defects.
- Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, validate functionality, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Own end-to-end testing of new features—from defining test strategies and writing automated tests to analyzing results and driving continuous improvements.
- Champion engineering excellence by identifying opportunities to optimize test coverage, reduce manual effort, and enhance platform reliability.
- Communicate progress and risks effectively, contributing to a culture of transparency, quality, and innovation.
Mandatory Skills Description:
- 7+ years of experience in Automation Testing with Java, preferably in Banking and Financial Services domain.
- Solid Java Backend development and testing experience along with with behavior-driven development and AI-assisted test automation.
- Proven ability to design and implement robust automated test cases in cloud-based environments (preferably Microsoft Azure) based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Solid understanding of SQL.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, Git/GitHub/GitLab, and pipeline automation.
- Strong knowledge of performance testing, load testing, or security testing tools and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging complex systems and developing scalable test automation solutions.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
