Senior QA Engineer

Candidate Profile

A hands-on automation engineer who can build and maintain scalable test automation, test web interfaces and APIs, understand server hardware and system-level behavior, and independently troubleshoot complex issues across software, firmware, and hardware layers.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, system-level testing, and a good understanding of server hardware and infrastructure technologies. The candidate should have hands-on experience with modern automation tools and the ability to test complex hardware-software integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using modern automation frameworks and tools.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, UI, and system-level testing.
• Develop automation using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and PyTest.
• Test server platforms and infrastructure solutions, including hardware, firmware, and software interactions.
• Troubleshoot issues across operating systems, firmware, drivers, BIOS/UEFI, and server hardware.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
• Analyze test results, debug failures, report defects, and collaborate with development and hardware engineering teams.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and test execution reports.

Required Skills

• 6 to 8 years of experience in software testing, including strong hands-on automation experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, PyTest, or Robot Framework.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Good understanding of system-level testing, server architecture, and hardware-software interactions.
• Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems, shell scripting, and command-line tools.
• Understanding of server hardware components such as CPU, memory, storage, NICs, and RAID controllers.
• Familiarity with firmware, BIOS/UEFI, BMC, Redfish, or IPMI is an advantage.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools, and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience testing enterprise servers, storage systems, networking, or data center infrastructure.
• Exposure to virtualization, cloud infrastructure, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with performance, stress, reliability, and hardware diagnostics testing.
• Familiarity with automation reporting tools and test management frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Note: Engineers are requested to work at the client location in Bangalore(Marathali) for 3days per week
