This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior QA Engineer based in Australia.
This is an opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of quality across complex Supply Chain Management (SCM) and workflow-based enterprise systems.
You will combine hands-on functional testing with automation to ensure platform changes are reliable, scalable, and production-ready.
The role involves working closely with product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams to understand business workflows and technical requirements.
You will play a key role in validating integrations, data accuracy, migrations, and evolving system logic.
A strong focus on automation will help strengthen regression coverage and support stable CI/CD delivery.
You will also contribute to UAT, release readiness, defect resolution, and continuous improvement of QA practices.
This role is well suited to a proactive QA professional who enjoys solving complex business problems and owning quality decisions.
Accountabilities
- Review and validate SCM business requirements, workflows, and functional logic to ensure they are accurately reflected in the platform.
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and workflow-based test cases covering status changes, business rules, and error scenarios.
- Own and maintain automated regression suites using Katalon Studio, converting high-value manual tests into reliable automated coverage.
- Support CI/CD processes by ensuring test automation remains stable, maintainable, and effective throughout development and release cycles.
- Validate consistency between legacy systems and new platform components, including data accuracy during migrations and system or engine changes.
- Support user acceptance testing, release testing, and production-readiness activities.
- Identify, document, and manage defects in Jira while collaborating closely with developers to investigate and resolve issues.
- Prepare test plans, test results, quality reports, and other documentation required to communicate testing outcomes and risks.
- Identify quality risks early and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, automation practices, and testing standards.
- 5+ years of professional QA experience, particularly within Supply Chain Management, workflow-based, or other enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated software testing.
- Practical experience with Jira for defect tracking, test management, and collaboration with development teams.
- Experience with test automation tools, with Katalon Studio experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to investigating complex business and technical issues.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of quality decisions, and proactively identify potential issues.
- Strong attention to detail and a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with API testing and basic SQL for data validation is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is preferred.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into delivery workflows is beneficial.
- Competitive salary range of AUD 70,000–100,000.
