This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior QA Engineer based in the United States.
This is a remote opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to help shape modern software quality practices.
The role combines advanced test automation, quality engineering, CI/CD, and emerging AI-powered tooling.
You’ll design scalable testing strategies across web, API, integration, regression, and exploratory layers.
A major focus will be using intelligent tools and large language models to improve testing speed, coverage, and defect detection.
You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to embed quality earlier in the development lifecycle.
The position also offers opportunities to mentor other QA professionals and influence organization-wide testing standards.
It is an ideal environment for a proactive engineer who enjoys innovation, experimentation, and building practical solutions at scale.
Accountabilities:
- Define and execute AI-augmented quality strategies across functional, integration, API, regression, and automation testing layers.
- Design, architect, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using modern technologies such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Apply AI and LLM-powered tools to accelerate test case creation, automation scripting, defect analysis, documentation, test-data generation, and edge-case discovery.
- Develop intelligent testing capabilities such as self-healing tests, automated test selection and prioritization, visual AI testing, and predictive defect analysis.
- Evaluate emerging AI-powered QA technologies, develop proof-of-concepts, and recommend solutions based on measurable improvements in quality, coverage, and efficiency.
- Integrate reliable automated checks and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to promote shift-left testing, AI-supported code review, and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and coach QA team members while sharing best practices around quality engineering and responsible AI adoption.
- Identify quality gaps, improve testing processes, and establish repeatable practices that can scale across engineering teams.
- Contribute to API, data, performance, reliability, security, and other non-functional testing initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or a comparable language.
- Proven experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks at scale using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end testing strategy, risk-based testing, regression testing, release readiness, and quality engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience using AI/LLM-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or comparable solutions to improve QA workflows.
- Ability to apply prompt engineering techniques and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reliability, and relevance.
- Experience with API testing, SQL-based test-data validation, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Experience working within Agile development teams and contributing to sprint planning, test estimation, and release coordination.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, combined with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, self-directed approach and demonstrated ability to mentor others and independently drive initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Bonus experience includes ETL/data warehouse testing, tools such as Fivetran, Databricks, Snowflake, JMeter, Locust, k6, Applitools, Postman, REST Assured, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Familiarity with data modeling, data reconciliation, security testing, OWASP principles, observability, and custom AI agents or LLM integrations is advantageous.
