Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer (Manual) with strong hands-on experience in manual, exploratory, API and database testing. You will own product quality end to end, from planning test coverage to tracking defects through resolution, and work closely with developers, product managers and business analysts to maintain high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scripts
• Ensure thorough test coverage of products and services

Test Execution

• Execute test cases and document results
• Provide clear, concise feedback to the development team
• Apply manual, exploratory, database and API testing techniques, including MS SQL

Defect Identification & Tracking

• Identify, document and track defects using designated tools
• Work closely with developers to prioritise and resolve issues in a timely manner

Regression Testing

• Verify that previously identified issues are resolved
• Ensure new changes do not introduce new defects

QA Documentation

• Maintain detailed test plans, test cases and bug reports

Continuous Improvement

• Proactively identify opportunities to improve QA processes
• Advocate for testing best practices within the team
• Monitor customer insights and production issues to gather quality feedback and improve the product

Collaboration

• Work effectively with developers, product managers and business analysts to ensure quality standards are met

Quality Metrics

• Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing insights into product quality and areas for improvement

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in manual QA
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes, and well-versed in all testing methodologies
• Hands-on experience in manual, exploratory, API and database testing
• Working knowledge of MS SQL
• Strong debugging skills to quickly identify the root cause of defects within applications and their dependencies
• Ability to quickly understand complex business problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Good to Have

• Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit)
• Knowledge of the banking and loan domain

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
