Senior QA Engineer
You will lead manual quality assurance for Web3 and platform features across multiple environments. You will validate blockchain interactions, wallets, smart contracts, APIs, transaction flows, and on-chain/off-chain data synchronization. You will document and track defects, maintain test cases and environments, support CI/CD coverage, conduct performance testing, monitor production signals, and mentor junior QA engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead manual testing of complex Web3 and platform features across multiple environments
- Validate blockchain interactions, wallet flows, and decentralized identity and authentication
- Test smart contract interactions, event handling, and on-chain/off-chain data synchronization
- Drive exploratory, functional, and regression testing
- Identify, log, and track reproducible issues using Jira or similar tools
- Verify blockchain node responses, RPC interactions, and event-driven workflows
- Validate transaction signing, wallet authentication, and multi-chain compatibility
- Collaborate with engineers to test smart contract upgrades, migrations, and versioning
- Monitor production logs, blockchain explorers, and analytics dashboards for anomalies
- Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and QA documentation
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams on CI/CD test coverage
- Evaluate and integrate AI-powered testing tools
- Set up and manage test environments, staging pipelines, and job configurations
- Conduct load, stress, and performance testing for high-volume Web3 interactions
- Act as a quality advocate across sprint planning, reviews, and release cycles
- Mentor junior QA engineers
- Contribute testing best practices for decentralized systems and hybrid architectures
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of total QA experience, including end-to-end quality ownership
- At least 2 years of hands-on Web3 testing experience
- Understanding of manual testing methodologies and the defect life cycle
- Knowledge of blockchain fundamentals, including transactions, gas, confirmations, and RPC endpoints
- Experience validating APIs with Postman or similar tools
- Proficiency with bug tracking systems such as Jira and version control such as Git
- Ability to use browser developer tools and basic terminal or command-line workflows
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools
- Experience with wallet testing is preferred
- Understanding of smart contracts, Solidity basics, or blockchain debugging tools is preferred
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium is preferred
- Knowledge of backend technologies, APIs, PHP, or related languages is preferred
- Experience with Linux and Bash scripting is preferred
