Senior QA Tester

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manual QA Tester to join our quality assurance team and drive the testing efforts for applications built on the OutSystems low-code platform.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Quality Control professional with strong expertise in manual testing methodologies, defect management, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

The individual should be highly analytical, capable of challenging requirements, identifying gaps, and engaging effectively with Product Owners (POs), Business Analysts (BAs), developers, and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Katalon Studio and Selenium is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the quality aspects of the entire project end to end ensuring quality is embedded throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis through deployment and post-release validation
• Report quality related metrics like defect rate, execution progress, coverage
• numbers, etc and present quality indicators to project stakeholders and leadership
• providing data-driven insights that demonstrate overall solution quality, and support informed decision-making for delivering high-quality releases
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for OutSystems applications.
• Perform thorough manual testing across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Execute and manage:Regression TestingSmoke TestingPositive TestingNegative TestingStress Testingo Corner Case / Edge Case TestingSystem Integration Testing (SIT)User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Validate functional, usability, and data-related requirements within OutSystems applications.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers and Business Analysts to investigate issues and verify fixes.
• Review requirements and proactively engage Product Owners and Business Analysts to clarify ambiguities, identify gaps, and improve quality before development begins.
• Participate actively in sprint ceremonies, requirement reviews, and release planning sessions.
• Ensure end-to-end business processes are thoroughly tested and validated prior to production releases.
• Prepare test execution reports, quality metrics, and release readiness assessments.
• Mentor junior QA/BA team members and promote testing best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
• Proven experience testing enterprise web applications and business-critical systems.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in:Regression TestingSmoke Testingo Positive and Negative TestingStress TestingCorner Case / Edge Case TestingDefect Lifecycle Management
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to understand business processes and translate requirements into effective test coverage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to independently engage Product Owners and Business Analysts to
• clarify requirements and challenge assumptions where necessary.
• Experience conducting and managing UAT sessions with business users.
• Experience with Jira or similar test and defect management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing applications developed on the OutSystems platform.
• Familiarity with OutSystems architecture, workflows, integrations, and deployment lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of automation testing tools such as:Katalon StudioSelenium
• Exposure to API testing and database validation.
