Job overview

We are seeking a skilled Sr. QC Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Working closely with development and product teams, the Sr. QC Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation efforts.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs and issues.
  • Analyze and report defects clearly, collaborating with developers to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Participate in review meetings and provide inputs on quality improvements.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Ensure consistency in test documentation and adherence to quality standards.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Work within Agile development environments to support iterative testing and delivery.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in software quality assurance, preferably in a senior role.

Technical skills:

  • Strong expertise in software testing methodologies, both manual and automated.
  • Proficiency with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.

Soft skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Certifications (Preferred): ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent certification in software testing.
