SENIOR QS/ QS/ MEP QS
Job Description
Responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects, including cost planning, tendering, procurement, contract administration, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams is required to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, financial, and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring of project costs and implementation of cost control measures
- Management of tendering processes, quotation evaluations, and procurement activities
- Administration of contracts, variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts
- Evaluation and certification of subcontractor and supplier claims
- Preparation of commercial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses
- Review and management of contractual documentation and compliance requirements
- Coordination with internal and external stakeholders on commercial matters
MEP QS Responsibilities
- Management of commercial and contractual matters related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works
- Review of MEP drawings, specifications, quantities, and variation works
- Evaluation of MEP-related claims, valuations, and final accounts
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related disciplines
- Relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or construction industry
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, tendering, and procurement processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and QS-related software
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building, infrastructure, or MEP projects
- Familiarity with local construction practices and regulatory requirements
- Singapore project experience will be an added advantage
