Job Overview

Vault Outsourcing is looking for a Financial Crime Quality Assurance Senior Analyst to join our team and work closely with an AU-based client.

In this role, you’ll support risk assurance and quality reviews focused on financial crime, AML/CTF, and regulatory compliance. You’ll analyze processes and controls, identify gaps and risks, and provide recommendations that help strengthen the client’s financial crime framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of financial crime processes, controls, and operational activities.
  • Review Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, and AML/CTF activities.
  • Test controls and identify quality issues, control gaps, and compliance risks.
  • Use data and analysis to identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare clear and evidence-based workpapers, findings, reports, and recommendations.
  • Monitor and validate remediation actions and escalate significant issues when required.
  • Work closely with Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Assurance teams.
  • Contribute to improving QA methodologies, processes, reporting, and financial crime capabilities.

Qualifications

Must-Haves

  • At least 3 years of experience in financial crime, AML/KYC, compliance, risk, assurance, audit, or quality assurance.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, BPO/shared services, corporate, or government environments.
  • Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in CDD, EDD, AML/CTF, transaction monitoring, or fraud.
  • Experience in control testing, risk assurance, internal audit, or QA.
  • ACAMS, ICA, or other relevant financial crime/compliance certification.
  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, Audit, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel or data analytics tools.
