Senior Quality Assurance & Control Technician (QA) - Farmers Branch

Oversee food safety and quality control at a bakery chain’s Farmers Branch location, ensuring compliance with policies, training staff, and conducting inspections.

85°C Bakery Cafe retail bakery chain that operates more than 60 locations in the United States across five states and has more than 1000 locations worldwide. We sell bread, coffee, tea, cake, pastries, and other desserts.

We are looking to hire a Senior QA at our Farmers Branch Location as a Senior QA and Control Tech, you will work with Chef, Supervisor, Plant Manager, QA/QC team and all other facility personnel to ensure food quality assurance and control pertaining to food safety.

  • Understand and Support Daily, Weekly, Monthly checklist for QAFS policies and procedures.
  • Report issues for products, process, and storage if not in non-compliance, and program deviation
  • Complete the QA /QC daily operation checklist as to in processing quality control and quality assurance reports, as food safety, microbial, sanitation, and monitoring deemed necessary.
  • Follow and train production employees to address daily issues as temperature, sanitation, pest control, specifications, foreign objects, analytical and packaging specs, etc.
  • Train and follow the employee training tasks regarding the principles and practices of HACCP, SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and pest control, sanitation, lab testing, and recall procedures.
  • Translate documents English/Spanish and or English/ Vietnamese QAFS policies and procedures.
  • Understand and participate in problem-solving sessions for customer complaints, 2nd or 3rd audit.
  • Conduct visual, smell, and or sensory and microbiological evaluations of products with report, finished product specification report, temperature records, receiving records and products quality records.
  • Arrange and organize retain samples, shelf-life sample, R&D sample, product / in process sample.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Act as contact person if other team members is not on duty.

Other Duties:

  • Be able to read instruments, gauges, and charts.
  • Be able to perform simple math calculation.
  • Understand and use of a computer and Microsoft Office products.
  • Read the thermometer, metric, use scales, weights, measure rulers.
  • Use of Camera and upload USB or memory card to computer.
