Senior Quality Engineer (Wafer)

Summary

Oversee quality control for silicon photonics chip production, testing wafers and chips, analyzing defects, and improving processes using tools like SPC and FMEA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for on-site quality control of the company's silicon photonics chip production process (wafer testing, wafer dicing, chip visual inspection, etc.).

  • Monitor production process quality data, analyze process fluctuations using quality tools such as SPC and FMEA, identify potential quality risks, propose process improvement measures and promote their implementation.

  • Lead the investigation, analysis and solution of quality abnormalities in the production process (such as dicing chipping, visual inspection defects, test parameter abnormalities, etc.), formulate corrective and preventive actions, track and verify the effect, and reduce the process defect rate.

  • Be responsible for the formulation and update of quality inspection standards for the production process, train front-line operators and inspectors to ensure that they master quality requirements and operating specifications.

  • Regularly conduct process quality reviews, summarize quality data of each station, form process quality reports, and promote continuous quality improvement in the production link.

  • Cooperate with PDQE, FA and other positions to participate in new product introduction, failure analysis and other work, and provide process quality related support.

Job Requirements

  • Microelectronics, Semiconductor or related majors, with more than 3 years of PQE work experience in the semiconductor or silicon photonics chip industry; familiarity with wafer dicing, chip testing, visual inspection and other processes is preferred.

  • Master process quality control methods and tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5Why, etc.), and be able to independently carry out process quality analysis and improvement work.

  • Familiar with the silicon photonics chip production process; those with a process background are preferred; understand the working principle and quality control points of equipment at each station (dicing equipment, test equipment, visual inspection equipment).

  • Strong ability in problem analysis, communication and coordination, and execution, able to quickly respond to quality problems in the production process.

  • Familiar with the ISO9001 quality system, with basic English/Mandarin reading and writing skills, able to read English/Mandarin technical documents."
