Senior Quantity Surveyor (Cork city southside, M)

SSO Personnel are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a team and take responsibility for the commercial and contractual side of our projects.

You’ll work closely with our project managers, site teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to keep projects commercially on track from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Preparing and reviewing cost plans, tenders and estimates.
• Managing subcontractor and supplier procurement and negotiations.
• Managing valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and cost savings.
• Working closely with project and site teams to support successful project delivery.
• Preparing regular commercial reports and keeping project finances under control.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years' Quantity Surveying experience, ideally in commercial or residential construction.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts and procurement.
• Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable working to deadlines.
• Able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
