Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate project cost estimates and detailed bills of quantities for various construction tenders.

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process including sub-contractor selection and drafting of complex formal contracts.

• Monitor project progress regularly to ensure costs remain within the established budget and financial constraints.

• Review and approve monthly progress claims submitted by contractors to maintain fair payment schedules.

• Conduct thorough value engineering studies to identify potential cost savings without compromising project quality.

• Lead final account settlements with all stakeholders to ensure project financial closure is efficient.

• Provide expert contractual advice to project teams to mitigate risks during the construction cycle.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a closely related construction management field.

• Minimum of six years of experience working as a quantity surveyor in consultancy firms.

• Proficiency in industry-standard measurement software and detailed cost management systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of local construction contract forms and standard building regulations.

• Strong ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously under tight professional deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills for negotiating with contractors, clients, and internal project teams.
