Senior Quantity Surveyor

Working across general building Quantity Surveying, primarily in cost planning and post contract services, in sectors including Health, Sports Precincts, Civic, Residential and Aviation.

Core responsibilties:

• Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
• Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
• Master-plan and feasibility budgets
• Cost checking of developing design
• Value engineering
• Tender evaluations and analysis
• Contract negotiations
• Cash flow projects
• Procurement
• Cost reporting
• Evaluation of variations
• Valuations
• Final account reporting
• Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
• Investment analysis
• Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans

• Relevant tertiary qualification in the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software / Cost X
• Experience managing a broad range of build projects
• RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
• A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project review
